Next anticipated offering: Spring 2014 (preceding by the prerequisite lecture course, Bio 4451 Field Ecology & Evolution, in Fall 2013). Focal region: Mesoamerica and the Yucatán Peninsula, México

Field trip dates: 27 Dec 2013 - 12 Jan 2014 (tentative) ... before the start of S14 classes

Students would need to return to Philadelphia for a group flight early on 27 Dec., or they would need to make approved independent flight arrangements coordinated with the group flights.

Format: 2 credit-hour field laboratory in off-campus location; on-campus follow-up activities throughout the semester, including analysis of project data, write-up, oral presentation, discussions

Appropriate for: undergraduates with at least some relevant prior course background  (e.g., BIO 3255, BIO 4305) and strong interest in ecology. See requirements page for more information about recommended background
